"The air here is miraculous, and outlines of reality change with the moment."
-John Steinbeck,
The Log from the Sea of Cortez.
Whatever attracts you to Baja, whether it is fishing, surfing, seafood, desert flora, cave paintings, Spanish Missions, whales, or the ever shining sun, you will not be disappointed. Mexico's forgotten peninsula, has been surely rediscovered, yet much of it remains a true frontier bringing millions of visitors per year.

One of the most incredible sights in Baja California happens from January through April. During this period of time, the Gray Whales of the world converge in either Baja California Sur, Laguana Ojo de Liebre, or Guerrero Negro. These magnificent mammals can be easily spotted from the shore or the sea. For around 20 American Dollars, you can rent a boat to see the whales up close. This site attracts thousands of tourists, scientists, and whale lovers alike each year.

Baja California's major attractions start at trekking in the Sierra De San Pedro Martir to scuba diving off Cabo Pulmo. All of Baja's recreation can be enjoyed at a very low cost and at no cost at all if you get lucky.
For you fishermen out there, Baja Mexico has the reputation of some of the best fishing sports fishing anywhere. Fish are biting somewhere in Baja year round, whether Marlin, Halibut, Sea Bass, Albacore, Snapper, Shark, Sailfish, or Yellowtail, no place in the world offers such a large variety of fish. In the Sea of Cortez alone, over 800 varieties of fish have been identified.
